BLItz system and reagents

ForteBio offers a risk-free trial of BLItz™ with no costs or obligations. A BLItz trial system along with all the biosensors and reagents necessary to test protein presence, quantitation and binding kinetics will be shipped to you (some limits apply). Simply fill out the request trial form and a technical specialist will contact you to arrange the trial. For more details, please see the program FAQs below. Program FAQs

What will I receive?  We will send you a BLItz trial system, BLItz Pro™ software and a demo kit that contains all materials needed for testing including Protein A biosensors and human and mouse IgG samples.

What do I need to provide?  You can use your own pipettes and tips. Please provide a desktop or laptop computer that meets these minimum requirements:

  • 32-bit or 64-bit Windows® XP or Windows 7
  • Monitor resolution of at least 1,024 x 768
  • 1 USB 2.0 port
  • 2.5 GHz Dual Core CPU
  • 2 GB RAM

How do the demo tests work?  The demo kit provided lets you test presence, quantitation and binding kinetics assays on BLItz. Depending on the assays and test samples you run, the self-demo can easily be completed in anywhere from 2-4 hours. Since you can keep the system for 5 days, you'll have plenty of time to run all the assays and test samples.

Are instructions provided?  Yes! The BLItz demo guide provides simple step-by-step instructions for set up, operation and running the test samples provided in the demo kit.

How long can I keep the BLItz trial system?  Please discuss the time period of the BLItz trial with a BLItz representative by calling 1.855.BLITZ-ME.

What happens at the end of my trial?  We ask that you clean the system, pack BLItz and its accessories back in the original box, and affix the pre-paid return shipping label. Then just contact ForteBio and we’ll arrange for pick up and return shipment. You do not need to return any unused biosensors or reagents.

Terms and Conditions

The BLItz trial program is only available in the US at this time.

  • ForteBio requests that you share the results of tests performed on the BLItz trial system.
  • The trial period will be for 5 days beginning the day the instrument is received. However, the demo test only take 2-4 hours to complete.
  • The user agrees to return the system on the 5th business day after receipt of the system.
  • The user agrees to provide a desktop or laptop computer that meets the requirements listed in the program FAQs.
  • The BLItz trial system must not be exposed to radioactive samples.
  • The BLItz trial system must not be exposed to biohazardous materials.
  • At the end of the trial period, the user agrees to clean the system, pack BLItz and its accessories in the original box, and contact ForteBio to arrange return of the system. Unused biosensors or reagents do not need to be returned.
  • Shipping cost to and from your lab will be paid by ForteBio.
